Answer:	To tell you the truth I was not aware of a TRS plug until your question arose, I just needed an adapter for my 1/8 inch cable plug to accomodate the 1/4 inch input on my guitar amp for my mp3 player. After googling a pic with an explanation of tip, ring & sleeve it appears to be a TRS plug. Incidentally it works fine, the balance good and it weeds out any unwanted noise. I also use a similar adapter for my Pimentel Acoustic guitar because the adapter hole for the electronics on my guitar is 1/8 inch

Answer:	I am not sure of your application... as another post mentioned, this cable while moderately flexible is somewhat heavy and may not be appropriate for your phones (especially if they are "small or light"). Another post mentioned the cable 'stays bent', that is not my experience - though I suppose it would be possible to kink the braided covering. That said it would be possible to use it as an extension for set of phones (with proper adapters and/or couplers). We use ours to send audio from a mixer (1/4" out) to a laptop (1/8" in).

They use a zip-cord style cable where you can tear the 2 cables apart to customize the fanout. Or have a custom cable made.

Answer:	It refers to how long the cable is. 1m = 1 meter, 3m = 3 meters and so on. Metric system. They all have one 3.5 mm to two 6.35mm.
