It's a clean cut, simple and elegant messenger bag. The only situation where it might stain a white shirt is if you are sweating profusely or if you get caught in the rain. In either case you have bigger problems to deal with. Try finding a leather bag that won't stain a white shirt when it's drenched. |

It is not vinyl; like all leather products that are not sealed chemically (hermetically) it will scuff and stain a bit with age. That is part of its charm. That said, compared to a saddle or a handbag that has been literally coated with chemicals to seal out any moisture, this is vulnerable to sustained exposure to water, oil, grime, or solvents. I have had my Visconti bag for several years now and I still cannot believe I got an Italian made leather bag that is very high quality for the low price offered on Amazon. I carry a bottle of water in my bag, my billfold and my cell phone in the center, zippered, pouch. I also carry tooth picks, my asthma in-haler, a coin purse, ear plugs, a spare car key, and other items in the front zippered pouch. The bag is made of a stiff leather so it holds its shape and you can stand it up. The strap is plenty long and very well made. Just a great value all around. |
