Answer: Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.
Question: Has anyone connected a ps4 of xbox one to the wifi from the range extender? if so, signal and game play any good
Answer: If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no.
Question: Does it create a new sid or does it exteneded your current sid, so one does not have to switch to differing networks when in range
Answer: the input voltage is from 100 to 240 volts

Answer: there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself.

Answer: In my area, currently, if you have Time Warner 'triple play' (TV, Internet, phone) and you have your own supported modem, TW provides the same modem they would for triple play and uses that for phone service only - at no monthly equipment charge - and disables their modems Internet connection/ wifi. So you do need that TW modem in addition to this unit and a cable box for TW triple play, but your only equipment fee if you have your own modem is for the cable box / DVR. I am using this modem and a TW modem with a high bandwidth splitter and good, short coax patch cables (or you can use different cable wall outlets for phone and Internet if you prefer) with TW triple play, and am not charged any monthly rental fee for Internet or phone hardware. Contact your TW representative and confirm their policy for your area (may take more than one call to get a representative who can give you the official answer).

Answer: No it definitely will not. AT&T Uverse uses modems that have an RJ-11 connector in the back (phone cord plug). This is COAX, and is only used for Cable Internet providers. Answer: You can plug it in downstream of your existing router. I believe it will even work if substituted for your existing router as long as you have a modem. You may need to call ATT at time of setup to provision but I doubt it. We were up on it in 5 minutes.

Answer: Yes, seems to be. I get 325mbps with the router and 150 mbps with the extenders. I pay for 300 mbps. Now this is with the extenders going through several walls and downstairs in my basement. I get the same.speeds from both extenders which is nice

Answer: I don't know if the cable company makes any modifications to it, but if not there should not be any issues. I added it easily to my pro setup which was originally a router an 2 beacons, now three.

Answer: Eero is a mesh network. There are no “boosters” or range extenders as you need on a conventional WIFI network. Instead the various errors nodes all add to the network.. same SSID... same speed...same everything. You have to have an Eero or Eero pro routers , you can’t plug in a “beacon” on a non-Eero network.
Question: Will this work with generation 1 networks
Answer: Yes - however performance (range, throughput) will be lower than when paired with a Gen II router.
Question: Why is the beacon twice the price of the router
Answer: I just got off phone w Eero. The beacon costs more because it is smaller and has 3 channels. It is super easy to just plug in. The other one is 2nd gen and can be used as router or extender but has only 2 channels and needs to be placed on a table or surface. So if you have many users at same time, may be better to get beacon as you may need 3 channels for data flow, but if you just need it spread wifi over larger area, then save money and get the other one.

Answer: The biggest advantage is that this device has 3 wifi frequencies on it. 2.4, 5.2, and 5.8 gig. This means more paths to your devices and more speed. Question: Does this work with the Xfinity Router/Modem
Answer: There are two settings when setting up your eero system, bridge and NAT. If you choose to use Xfinity router to provide DHCP/NAT routing then you would set up your eeros as a bridge using the same WiFi name as the Xfinity router. This is the easiest for the layperson. Otherwise, I would recommend disabling the DHCP/NAT from the Xfinity Router and use the eero as your NAT router. I know that seems a little technical for most, but the user interface on the app has this terminology and is pretty easy to figure out. The hard part is diving into the Xfinity router... If you don't know what to do there, it would be easy to mess things up. Bottom line, if you have a ROUTER/MODEM combination from Xfinity... the easiest thing would be to set the eeros up as a bridge, with the same WiFi and password.
