Answer:	I can say that the ones I bought have been through the wash & dryer and have shrunk slightly but not significant by any means. If I bought again, which I will, I would not take this into consideration when choosing size.

Answer:	They won't shrink in length but the side pockets will shrink in depth. When I first ordered these almost 3 years ago my entire hand could fit in the side pocket with room to spare. Now I can fit my hand about half way in the pockets. Due to manufacturer changes the front cargo pockets aren't as deep as the same pair of these shorts I have from 2011. Dickies is still good overall though.
