Answer:	Good question. I purchased the green, and it was a tad lighter than the picture suggested, so I would doubt that you would be receiving an ebony robe. Regardless of color, what has really sold me on this item is the quality of the terry cloth. It was replacing a Kingsbridge, a great item sold and now discontinued by the now mostly defunct KMart. TowelSelections more than filled the bill. Thicker material, great fit. Make sure to measure as they suggest, across the shoulders and overall length from the collar down; the robe I received was exactly as stipulated, and this after running it through a recommended wash cycle before wearing. Nice item.

Answer:	I am 5'10" 200lbs. I ordered the L/XL size. The sleeves are about perfect in length. Although I roll the cuff up 1 time if I am cooking breakfast or something like that. I also like the height off the floor. At the waist there is plenty of robe left to wrap around. If he is a skinny guy, you may want to go down 1 size.
