Answer:	I use it for my propane stove for camping. Not sure about a grill as it may melt the plastic if it gets too hot.

Answer:	I bought one that was "damaged" from amazon, and this was the damage that was evident. If you look at the picture you can see where the screws that hold the mesh basket can close into the bottom of the table top. This caused the damage on the one I ordered. No prob here though... I drilled out the underneath a little and re-did the top with drawer liner paper. I don't know if it is fixed in the new versions but it was definitely an issue with the "damaged" one that I ordered. My guess is that any one you order that is damaged will have this issue. I might also just move the screws to the front with some good washers holding the mess basket in place. It is not like they are holding anything other than my trash, so it cant be a weight issue. Not sure why Coleman put the screws on that side as it would be fairly obvious if you closed everything up and then bounced on the tabletop (like it was at the bottom of your packing and you had all your other gear on top).
