Answer:	Please note your airline restrictions as each airline sets its own size and weight measures. Lately, I have found airlines being more strict. Some european airlines have much smaller size restrictions. Carry-ons usually have maximum sizes on each side, whereas checked luggage can have differing dimensions but a max running lenth - about 62" on many carriers. In short: look for limitations on your specific airline - and go with the minimum weight and measure for all carriers on the trip. Answer:	I totally checked this bag across intercontinental europe with no issues at all. Among the hectic trips from venice to rome to tuscany to england, the poor thing was massively stuffed and abused and still made the checked trip from usa to europe and back on the checked baggage in addition to all the other abuse noted above. highly recommend, you can't go wrong.

Step 1

Lay your Duffel Bag on a flat surface, with the front side facing down .Leave a slight opening on the main zipper and push out any excess air that may be inside the duffel bag.
