Answer:	we just put it on a hanger out of the package for a couple of days, they worked out. The star- I ironed the back between a thick kitchen towel, and starched it to keep it stiff. DO NOT let the iron come in direct contact with the costume.

for those of you who added battery operated lights to the costume, what method is the best wat to attach them to the foam tree? sewing? craft glue

Answer:

I used a stapler. I lined up the wire so it would land in the middle of the staple. I stapled at the edges so I would get nice swags and a stapled a little sock inside to hold the battery pack...the staples are easy to remove with no holes left and it was quick. The presents for the feet were not stiff so I cut some cardboard and inserted it to keep the shape of the boxes....the costume was high quality and a big hit!
