Answer:	No, but the one side has slots to put a headboard only on it.

Answer:	No there is no way you could do that unless you’re wanting to modify it yourself and drill holes into the metal frame. Could you do that? In theory, yes. Would I? Probably not as it could compromise the frame, but if you did, you’d need to drill into both metal frames to add screws, bolts, and washers.
