Question:	Is the button portion the same size as a standard CB mic hanger
Answer:	Well, different mikes have a different diameter hanger so, this depends on the manufacturer of the CB mike. These are probably a little smaller than the mikes I have had but, you can always cut off the existing mike button and glue one of these on and now you are in business.
Question:	What is the width of the button the clip attaches to
Answer:	The button that comes with the package is just just under 1/2 inch wide and is the base is 7/8 inch. I did not use this button as my phone (Avaya 7406E) already has a button on it. The button on my phone is just over 1/2 inch wide. The clip looks like it can handle one up to 3/4 inch.
Question:	What width belt will this work with
Answer:	the clip from inside spring to the pin to hold at the bottom is just under 1 3/4" so a 1 1/2 inch would be best but it stays on a wider belt pretty well even if it doesn't hook over the bottom edge of the belt. Fishing on the lake with a 2" belt, maybe better not try that....
Question:	Can this be used to clip a phone onto a plain waist band [like, with no belt]
Answer:	Yes, it can. There are two pieces involved here. The spring clip piece that attaches to your belt (waistband) and the snap-in button that attaches to the back of the phone. However, I'm not sure that I would trust the clip as much if only attaching to a "waistband). You can try it. You would just attach the spring-clip piece to your waistband just as you would with a belt. You could then test it by putting tension on it to see if it holds onto the fabric or falls off. Hope you have success with this.
