Answer:	I have four of the earlier 3tB versions of this drive in external USB3 enclosures and use them in rotation for critical full system backups. They have served very well in that capacity. I also have one of the 3tB drives in my main daily-driver computer now and it does that quite well although it isn't as fast as some but since it is used mostly for secondary data store it doesn't matter so much. The reason that I have so many of the older 3tB drives is that I upgraded all of the drives in my Drobo NAS to 6tB drives a while back. Those drives as well as five of the 8tB units in another NAS have worked perfectly so I can highly recommend them (for the proper use, of course).

Answer:	I don't know if they are "DLNA Compliant" or not, but that's more or less how I use them. I believe the WD Red drives are intended for 24/7, NAS and streaming type usage. I've not had a WD Red fail me in several years, where a couple of Seagates have died prompting me to move to the WD Red and the RAID configuration.

Answer:	Yes, it is certainly possible. But there are tradeoffs to consider. This drive is designed for 24/7/365 operation, but is NOT designed for speed. If you want really fast access to your data (say, if you're a gamer or if you're doing CAD work) this isn't the best choice for your drive, and you'll be paying a lot for features you won't be using.In my own cases, I've been migrating my 5-bay Synology Network Attached Storage system from 3TB drives to 6TB drives. The older 3TB drives are NOT going to waste, however. I'm installing them into other systems, as "local software repositories" and the like. I'm not actually running any software off of them.Realistically, these drives are designed to run in RAID configurations (where the "striping" effect gives you plenty of speed, as you're reading and writing not to just one drive but multiple drives, dramatically reducing your wait time for "seeking" from any given drive. Answer:	Frankly Ive NEVER had a problem like that with say WD products and in my experience their drives are well made and a class act!>>> But I do know from helping friends rebuild older Computers that a noise like you are describing are a sorry sign of a Drive close to the end of its service life. What you do is up to you but from my experience I suggest 2 things. A. While your drive is still operating trans fer your critical info/Files/ And Folders -NOW- and dont wait as you can use thunb drives, Or I just burn files to blank DVDs. B. Dont use mechanical drives -ANYMORE- As its rather easy to switch to Solid State or SSD drives and your Computer/Laptop will run lots better too. I switched both my Desktop/And Laptop drives to SSD and havent looked back!..... And Amazon has them at a very decent price so why stick w Outdated tech while you can join the 21 Century as it aint the 90s anymore!..... Answer:	That's a legal question and the answer may depend on where you are located. You should ask Western Digital directly. Also, a warning: some sellers here on Amazon sell OEM drives which do not have a Western Digital warranty. This has happened to me three times. In each case, Amazon has helped me exchanged the drive for one that was under warranty. I make it a habit to register every new drive with Western Digital as soon as I receive it. That way I'm sure it is under warranty.

Answer:	Yes mine was stiff too and i was afraid of breaking it but then i put vaseline with a q tip on the ball where it is stuck and then tried hard and it moved and then i continously moved it for few seconds so vasline goes inside and then wipe the excess vaseline so it doesnt ruin anything else and now it works like a charm :)

Answer:	I Love the Camera and functions when it works. I did get the 3 year warranty and had to replace it after about 13 months. Last month the camera stopped again with a focus issue, I sent it in for warranty service again and this time was told the camera would not be fixed because it was damaged. The ring had a slight spot where it was hit about 6 month ago but no more than wear and tear. Panasonic declined to honor their Warranty, so if you use a camera a lot and put it in your pocket I would not recommend a Panasonic camera.

Answer:	I'm going to guess you may have trouble with it. I have a Nikon Coolpix L610, which weighs 8.5 ounces, and the GorillaPod is barely stable when I put my camera on it. Since the D5100 weighs 19.7 ounces, I don't think it will work well.

Answer:	The red5k one has the new arca swiss release plates. Switch between devices quick without unscrewing. Also the red looks dope.

Answer:	I believe the difference is that the kit has a swivel head on top of the legs and the stand just has a screw mount on top of the legs. A swivel mount is really useful for a traditional tripod but not as important for a gorilla pod. The swivel makes it easier to make small adjustments to angle/position but also is more likely to slip if you load it up with a heavier camera and lens.
