This is the manufacturer description on compatibility it's only specific with these brands. If the iPhone 7 has wireless capability then it should be able to be used but I would proceed with caution

Answer:	Yes, as long as you don’t have a pop socket or anything like that on the back. I will warn you—it flashes an annoying green or blue light while it’s plugged in and on.

Answer:	It does not have a metal casing. If the usb cord is tugged in the disc does slide. It is very light weight. The phone rests nicely on top but if nudged it will slide off.
