Answer:	It works somewhat like a clothes iron in that it has a lift cap where you pour water into. On the other hand, I personally don't think that it gets as hot as most steam mops nor does it require much internal pressure to get the steam out. Most likely why the cleaning pad is very thin. But it works nicely on wooden floors in that you wouldn't want to get them very wet anyway. I'm not sure that it would be a way to go on any other surfaces. I have had other steam mops which would work on other surfaces better than this in my opinion. Hope this helps

Answer:	I have not used the steam cleaner on our acrylic shower base because I use a different cleaner on it have scum. However, I will tell you this: My husband, who works in the medical field and has the cleanest hands anyone could have, manages to open our fairly new refrigerator at least 10-15 x a day and each time, he leaves sticky handles on the french doors and 2 freezer compartments. I feel I do nothing 5 days a week before he works and after he comes home and both Sat & Sun but try to wipe whatever invisible sticky stuff he leaves on them and NEVER get it off. It's unbelievable!!! I used the steam cleaner on the entire outside of the refrigerator yesterday and that thing is pristine and there is no evidence of anything sticky. I also steamed the inside of every rubber door lining, and I did the microwave. I am in HEAVEN!
