Introducing the 2021 1 oz Silver Canadian Maple Leaf coin, it represents the 33rd year of the release for the Canadian Mint.
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin is one of the most popular bullion and proof products in the world. Struck in .9999 pure silver, the maple leaf coin is one of the few sovereign mint coins struck in such purity.
The silver series was introduced in 1988, following the success of the gold series.
The obverse features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The design has been modified through time. The first original design was created by Arnold Machin, included in the coins from 1988-1989. The second design was introduced in 1990 until 2003 and it was created by Dora de Pedery-Hunt. Since 2004 until present, the coin features Susanna Blunt's design.
The reverse displays the Canadian Maple Leaf. The design has remained unchanged since 1988. However, in 2014, radial lines and micro-engraved laser marks were introduced as security features.
With a granted face value of $5 (Canadian dollars) the Silver Maple Leaf holds a status as legal tender backed by the Canadian Government.
A wonderful addition to your bullion collection presented to you in brilliant uncirculated condition with certificates of authenticity sourced directly from the Canadian Mint.
