Question:	Does the cream have an offensive odor
Answer:	I'm not a sensitive fragrance person and can tolerate a lot, but this has such a strong odor I could not make it to a second application. The fragrance is so overwhelming it smelled like Lestoil house cleaner. I heard great things about Weleda and had high hopes for this skin cream and was disappointed. There are lots of organic products on the market with great fragrances (such as the divine 16J Organics product line), but this Skin Food is not one of them.
Question:	How does this compare to embryolisse lait cream
Answer:	the skin food is much thicker and more emollient. the lait cream dries semi-matte for my skin, but skin food will leave an oil-based sheen. I use skin food at night and lait cream for day and it works out well.

Answer:	I've been using this on my hands, face, and anywhere that needs extra moisture for a couple years now and it's never clogged my pores. I tend to have oily skin with the ocassional winter dry patch or so and this cream is fantastic. I'll apply it by rubbing a dab into my hands and whatever residue remains, I'll rub onto my face.

Answer:	I have no idea if it has been ophthalmologist tested. I do use it around my eyes and it causes no eye irritation for me at all. I have very sensitive eyes and so I am very sensitive to products that I put around my yes. I am happy that I have finally found a product that I can use around my eyes so that I am not forced to go out and spend a lot of money on a hydrating eye product. I have not used their face cleaner or wash, so I cannot say anything about those two products. I hope this helps you.

Answer:	If you mean something like a small piece of thin, flat pliable plastic, something like that happened in one of our jars. The plastics material that was stretched across the jar underneath the lid (that sealed the contents in) had either torn during manufacture/shipment, or a piece of it had peeled off the underside of it, because a small piece of it was imbedded in the cream itself. We just pulled the piece out and discarded it.

Question:	Is this scar cream better than mederma
Answer:	I find that when i used Mederma, it lightened the skin around the scar. I guess maybe it was new skin and so it showed a lighter pink. I am a medium skinned Hispanic and so to me it was pretty obvious. I used mederma for a surgical scar I had and it did lighten the scar. I used this scar cream for acne scars on my back and worried that it would lighten the skin between the scars because I was using it on a large area. But it did not lighten or change the color of my skin but it did considerably fade the acne scars. I can still see them but I've only been using this a month and not as often as I should be. I definitely recommend this product
Question:	How effective is this product on 1 year surgical scars as far as lighting the darkness of the scar
Answer:	I had fresh week old cuts that were closing and I didn't notice any lightening till the 3 month mark, and that may or may not have been the cream at that point. So I don't think this would do much for 1 year old scars of any type if it takes so long (and may or may not work) on fresh ones. I have a thick surgical scar also and I did notice a small difference with those silicone sheets, but I mean a SMALL difference where I got the smallest speck of lightening after maybe a month? But that took too long and wasn't affordable for such little results in my opinion. Might be worth a shot though, otherwise save up for surgical removal if you can.

Question:	How about listing the ingredients
Answer:	Instead of an ingredients list the product label states what isn't in it. "100% VEGAN...Formulated without fragrance, colorants, preservatives. Enriched with Community Trade aloe vera. Dermatologically tested." Then it goes on to tout the product in various languages. That's really all I can help with. I do love the cream. I use it every day. My 88 years of skin is dry but with very few wrinkles which are not deep but are noticeable before I apply the cream but much less so after. I leave it on for about 5 minutes then gently pat off any excess. Within a short time it soaks in without any oily residue. I used to use The Body Shop's day cream with vitamin E until about two years ago. When I phoned to ask why it no longer agreed with my skin, the answer was that they changed the formula. That's when I switched to the day cream with aloe vera.

Answer:	By my calculation: 1 gram retinol = 1 million iu. The % is listed as "by volume"; the volume of the bottle is 3.4 oz (95.2g). 95.2g x 0.025 (2.5%) = 2.38 million per bottle (700,000 iu per ounce). However, make sure you check labels for iu advertised by ounce or container. I have seen creams claim to be 8 million units but in the fine print say "per container". Thus, making a 4oz. container only 2 million iu ounce. see less

Answer:	Retinol Creams(over-the-counter) VS. Retin-A Creams (needs a physician's prescription)What's the difference? First, let's establish what these creams are used for: Basically, they contain the only ingredients (retinoids) that have decades of research proving they can turn around the aging of skin! Only retinoids have been proven in studies to do everything from smoothing fine lines and fading dark spots to making pores appear smaller. Dermatologists even agree: Retinoids are the best age erasers. Retinoids are vitamin A derivatives. They are found in prescription, Retin-A creams (Renova, Avage, or Differin), as well as over-the-counter creams, which are commonly referred to as retinol creams. Besides their method of procurement there is one basic difference between the two - retinol creams are less irritating to the skin than their prescription cousins. With over-the-counter retinol creams, the retinol is slowly converted to retinoic acid, which is the active ingredient in prescription creams.
