If the razor takes batteries, doesn't have a charger, and its pinching and pulling the skin, you need a pair of new batteries for the razor. Make sure you clean and disinfect the razor/clippers after every use.

Answer:	No, it comes with the rechargeable battery installed already. Just charge it over night before the first use. My wife used it til the battery was completely run down for the first few charge cycles. That helps the battery last a lot longer.
