Answer:	No. It does not run when charging. Nor does it run if it's fully charged and plugged in. Unlike 4 previous Norelco shavers I've had, this model does not work as a corded shaver. This is a serious drawback in my opinion.EDIT: I ended up returning this model 2100, and getting the model 3100 which DOES run when it's charging and whenever it's plugged in. Model 3100 costs $10 more ($39.95) and is worth it to have a shaver that works both as a cordless and a corded shaver. Answer:	Well...the biggest difference to me is the old ones had the flip open blades. My old one would constantly open while shaving, dumping cut whiskers down my shirt. The other differences the interchangeable heads. No pop out trimmer. Now they added a trimmer/beard shaver that is adjustable for length. A nice addition to the shaving system if you sport a beard as I do from time to time. Hope this helps.

Answer:	When you clean the razor in the base, some hair goes into the solution cartridge. I found that some collects in the base and needs to be wiped out or rinsed out when you change the cartridge. I have to do all this for my husband!

Answer:	Just rinse it under the sink while it’s turned on. You can also add a drop or two of hand soap before rinsing it under the sink. If you do pre-rinse the cutting head make sure you then use the cleaning station, as rinsing the cutting head in the sink removes all lubricant from the razor. The Braun cleaning solution is just alcohol and lemon oil, the lemon oil acts as a lubricant.

My only extra advice is that the automatic cleaner base broke after 2 years, but the plug goes directly into the shaver, which I now buzz into a glass of soap. And the sideburn shaver part broke off just this year, but the shaver still lasts for 10+ shaves / 6 weeks for a charge after all this time.
