Answer:	No you cannot!!! Despite being clearly labelled as working OK with "120-250V" outlets, this is not the case. While on vacation in Europe my wife plugged it in to an outlet and it began sparking and almost caught on fire. This is a clear fire and safety hazard and this product should be pulled from the shelves.

Most regular sized irons are 11 to 12 inches. This is called a mini iron. This is from the drop down menu below the regular iron. It is important to read all the descriptions to know what you are getting.
Question:	Does it work well on African American or mixed curly hair
Answer:	I've had this flat iron for 5 or 6 years, I've used it for maybe about 3 of those years where my hair was a mix of natural and permed, and YES it works very well on African American hair. There is a heat controlled setting on this flat iron. So, to the person that states it's too hot and breaks an AA's hair off, first of all, not all AA's hair is the same. My hair requires a greater amount of heat to straighten. Second, I don't think they are using the setting correctly because the heat setting can be controlled. It will fry anyone's hair (fabrics, clothing, etc.) on the highest setting, which I believe is 450 deg. I keep it right around 410 deg. I use this to achieve very straight styles (or right after a shampoo and blow dry) and my mini for daily use. I also use this with a thermal protector like Mizani thermal protector. I also use to use this with the Mizani's Gloss Veil when until they stopped making it. Make a long story short, it can get very hot, but don't use it on it's highest setting.
Question:	what is the difference between the 3rd generation and regular iron
Answer:	I believe the only difference is that the 3rd generation has slightly longer plates than the regular iron. Neither of these flat irons are of the current generation, which is why they're being sold so cheaply. I think they must be a few years old, because if you look at the current 1-inch flat iron on HSI's website, it's slightly different and costs quite a bit more. That said, I bought the regular iron here and I could not be happier with it. It's everything I wanted. I can curl or straighten my hair, it doesn't burn, the temperature can be adjusted so easily. My only warning is that it doesn't have an automatic turn-off, so you need to be someone who can always remember to turn it off or unplug it.

Question:	After only a month one side of the brush broke off. Is it still safe to use on my hair since the hair will be touching the space in between the brush
Answer:	Yeah I've had 3 of the brushes come off on me. Too bad because I love this product and have been using it for years. Once that top end of the brush comes loose or off the side brushes will fall off. I had to finally glue that top part down and have had no problems with the brushes coming off anymore. The only problem is my Instyler suddenly just stopped working on me! Its less than 1 year old but I don't have my receipt so well see.
Question:	Is this also used for wet hair
Answer:	Not recommended for wet hair, because the roller gets extremely hot and can damage the hair. If u must. u can use it on damp hair, (almost dry) on a low setting and will work. I have used it this way.
Question:	how do i know which sizer barrel it is
Answer:	The person that answered ur question was wrong. InStyler does NOT have a 1" barrel. There is only 1 1/4" and 3/4" (the latter, evidently being a totally separate iron). In other words, the product does not come with both barrels for interchangeable. Shame.
Question:	Is 3/4 inch barrel better or 1 1/4 inch barrel better? and what is the difference
Answer:	If your hair is short the 3/4 barrel is God and if your hair is long the 1 1/4 is better, both sizes are great irons, I own both sizes and I love them both.

Answer:	Its a concern because the device (on the flatiron) does not say its 240V only 120V of the product. The box does say dual voltage 110-220 but unless the actual product say so. I believe this is a safety concern.
