Question:	Is the Signature series 24k gold plated like the Professional series
Answer:	Ceramic has always been my preference. But when I wanted to buy one that had a smaller circumference, I spotted this one. The price was so much lower than ceramic I thought I'd give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. It heated much hotter than other metal barrels I have used in the past, and has a decent range of temperatures. I use the middle of the range and it doesn't burn my hair, but gives it a nice firm curl. I use a ceramic on for a 1'" curl on the top of my do, and if I didn't know that one was metal and one was ceramic, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference in their results. Don't think you could go wrong with this one. I give it a two thumbs up. One other note about curling irons, while ceramic is very good, I think the critical element is the ability to be able to set the heat control over a wide range of temperatures to accommodate your specific hair composition. Question:	Black knob on the end of mine is broken. Can I buy a replacement of just that part
Answer:	You should use a 1 inch barrel or bigger the bigger the barrel the looser the curl. Use an argon oil product on your hair for protection on your ends and extra shine. I like to use argon oil on WET hair because on dry hair it can make your hair greasy.

Answer:	A 2 inch curling iron will give your hair some light body in your hair. Similiar to blowing drying it with big round brush. But, if you are looking for curls, I would go with a 1" or 1.5" for bigger curls. If you want tighter curls, get a 1" wand. There are all kinds of videos on how to curl long hair with wands. You can get two different looks depending on how you wrap your hair around wand. Good luck!
Question:	My curling iron is just over a year old and when I plug it in, it lights up like it’s on but it doesn’t get hot. Why
Answer:	depends on the length of your hair. If it is NOT super long I would go for 1.25. I purchased 2" first and returned before opening the package as my hair is medium length and fairly darn straight and medium thick and it was way too big. I purchase the 1.5 and it is better, but I should have gone with 1.25 yet I'm keeping the 1.5" because I opened it. If you have medium length hair and medium to thick hair from my experience I would get the 1.25. My hair is straight and fairly long layered and I seek a more beachy wave which I think the 1.25 would accomplish great. Where I got my hair layered and ombre they had a 2" yet she was a master and a TON of product. I hope that helps and I wasn't too confusing!

Answer:	I am not sure what that is, but what I received was a normal retail package like you see on the shelves at your local department store.

Answer:	There's no problem to keep the iron on while in use because the on/off button is a little bit sucken in so its not easy to accidentally turn it off. However I have found that the temperature select button can sometimes be accidentally pressed but it doesnt happen often. Also the curling iron does have an auto shutoff feature in case it is left plugged in but not in use. I yt? D a very good curling iron. My hair is long (down to waist) and I get long lasting curls with this iron.

Question:	Is it instant heat? How long does it take for it to heat up
Answer:	On the variable heating unit it heats up in less than 1 min. It is almost instant heat. I do not have the preset unit so I am not sure if it takes longer. I set my variable unit to 325-350 and it heats up in less than 1 min.

Answer:	Sure. I use volume spray and heat protector on my hair.
Question:	Can the heat be adjusted
Answer:	No, my unit cannot adjust heat. It's super hot !!! It's Over 400° and makes my hair smell terrible. I have fine hair and have used a 400° iron before however this one seems to run a bit hotter than my other unit. The other thing to watch out for is the barrels with the clips do not have a cool end to grab a hold of to twist hair up into the barrel like a traditional clip barrel iron would normally have. I have a habit of grabbing the end of my clip barrel curling iron and I have burned myself several times because these clipped barrel irons do not have the cool end. Not being able to touch the end of a clip barrel to adjust the hair within the barrel makes it difficult to style the hair. I don't recommend this unit . The non-clipped barrels are tapered in size and are very slippery. Hence your hair slips to the bottom of the barrel.
