Curl Hair - How do I use it?

Make sure the hair is completely dry.

For Waves:

1. Select the Wave Setting by sliding the switch to Wave Mode.

2. Slide the Wave Direction switch to your desired setting.

3. Always insert the hair into the appliance with the open part of the ceramic chamber facing toward the head. For longer-length hair, insert the hair into the appliance further down the section to ensure the hair is drawn into the ceramic chamber efficiently.

Important! If the appliance is not released from the hair, it will beep continuously and the power indicator will flash until the handles are released. The continue using the appliance, remove from the hair and use as normal.

To allow the section to set, do not comb or brush the hair until it cools.

After use, switch off and unplug the appliance.

Straighten Hair - How do I use it?

Make sure the hair is completely dry.

For Smooth Styles:

1. Select the Smooth Setting by sliding the switch to Smooth Mode.

2. Always insert the hair into the appliance with the plate part facing toward the head. Place a section of hair between the straightening plates, close to the roots.

3. Firmly close the handles together to allow the hair to be drawn into the ceramic chamber, where it will be gently preheated and then straightened for perfectly smooth results.

4. Important! Once the hair has begun to be drawn into the ceramic chamber, hold the hair firmly between the straightening plates and immediately slide down the length of the hair slowly and smoothly from root to tip.

Answer:	If you’re trying to get some curl in the hair overnight, these will help. You probably need to spritz the hair with water beforehand so the curl will take, especially on straight hair. Roll the hair towards your face in pieces. I use the long silver hair clips to keep the Curlers in place, but you may or may not find these uncomfortable to sleep on. If you can wear a sleep cap over that to keep the curlers from coming out, you should have wavy hair in the morning. Spritzing with water will help establish a curl.

Answer:	I can't tell any difference, but I sure do love these soft curlers !!

Answer:	I have thick shoulder length hair, my mom hair was shorter below ear length (now longer) but not as thick. There are different sizes of these curlers but the larger sizes are more difficult to find. You section your hair based on length of hair and type of curl desired (tight and ruler, loose and wavy). I used more hair because I wanted softer curls. I also would use end papers to make sure the end result was a smoother curl. After rolling the section of hair you fold the ends or tails of the curler (making flaps) over the section of hair. Don't believe they were even designed for twisting. You'll be able to tell quickly if you've put too much hair in the curler as it won't stay folded. On occasion, the curlers slip out over night but for me, this seemed to occur after my curl had set. I did a test drive at a music store before I purchased to be sure. I was going to buy there, but they only had the display and no box and it was significantly more than on Amazon.

Answer:	We tested the 164 among other brands and models at the store, and found 164 has the best sound that very similar to real piano. We ended up buying 184 since 164 is discountinued. We had the piano for over a week and my 6 years old daughter loves it so much and started practicing everyday. I love piano music and am sensitive to the sound, and I am satisfied with 184's sound quality. I agreed you wouldn't get any model lower than this.

They work best if you blow out your hair with a round brush then immediately use the hot rollers with a spray gel (herbal essence spray gel, teal bottle). 5-6 rollers straight back - I do the first by my face with a thick roller and the bottom piece at base of my neck with the thick one) then 3 on each side of my head. Thick one by the face and then 2 of the smaller ones behind it. Keep in for 10 min for looser curls, 20-30 for longer stay. Take out, toss your head over and run fingers through the scalp part to loosen at the base, and then add gloss! My curls last 5-6 days cause I have very dry hair (unless it’s the dead of summer then typically 4 days cause humidity - my nemesis ). Enjoy!!!!
Question:	What is the difference between this model and the newest XTreme heat jumbo and super jumbo rollers
Answer:	I don't know what the difference is, don't have the newest XTreme heat jumbo.. etc. Won't buy another Conair product after my experience with this one.
