Use it once and from there you can make your decision on how often you'd like to use it. It makes your hair silky and soft and depending on your hair type, the softness may last longer than for others.

Answer:	Yes, it does work on African American hair. This is the first time I've used it for my dry, damaged, over-processed hair. My hair is thick and coarse and after the first application, feels and looks soft and healthy! Instead of leaving it on for 10 minutes per the instructions, I left it on for 30 minutes and put a plastic cap over it. So far, it's a keeper!

The directions don't say how much to use but I feel you should just put on as much as it takes to cover your whole head. It's the same as any other conditioner but is a stronger product in terms of results. The whole tube has 6.0 fluid ounces. A cup is 8 fluid ounces or 16 tablespoons to give you an idea. So the whole tube would be good for 12 times if you use 1 tablespoon each time.
