Answer:	Even though this machine is not an embroidery machine, you can learn to do beautiful embroidery work on it by learning free motion embroidery. In fact, one of the cool presser feet that comes with this machine is the open toe darning foot, which is a bonus!... People who wish to embroider, use this foot to do so. You Tube has many fine videos that will show you how to do free motion embroidery, on a regular machine, with just an everyday wooden hoop. Just type in free motion embroidery tutorials in the you tube search area, and you will be busy for hours, learning to this method. Enjoy!

Answer:	Depends what you want it for. Simple sewing like clothing or piecing quilt tops should be okay - putting quilts together NO! The throat is not big enough for free motion quilting and it doesn’t do well with bulky material. Your needle will snap, bobbin will have a nervous breakdown and you’ll get error codes that will make you want to pull your hair out when you try to clear them. But if you set on buying this model or the CS6000i here is the skinny - it is easy to use if you stick to the book or YouTube for help and FOLLOW the step by step instructions. It’s a cute machine for newbies but an albatross around experienced quilters necks

Answer:	Because it's a review, some reviews aren't anything more than "it sucks". But for only 150 people out of 2,000 people don't like or understand the machine, that's pretty damn good.

Answer:	This would be a GREAT machine for a beginner. I've sewn for at least 60 yrs and have had machines that cost as much as $2,000, and to me this is the best. I'm an avid believer that one should read the manual first and recommend for you to do this. You will be able to nicely grow into this machine and should have no regrets with the purchase. I love idea that you can sew without using a presser foot, but can control your stitches on the front of the machine. Love to be able to see when the bobbin is getting low, various speeds, even some decorative stitches for you. It's quiet, fun, light weight for taking to classes, or for my motorhome. Question:	I love this machine but i have alot of tension problems - the thread on bottom keeps bunching up - i'm sure its inexperience but can someone help me please
Answer:	It can definitely handle multiple layers of fabric, and fabric of different types. It can even handle different amounts of layers in the same sewed piece--the main presser foot has a knob you pull out to hold the foot at the level you want. The topstitch footer assumes multiple layers of fabric. You may need to guide the fabric through a bit to make sure it doesn't get stuck, but otherwise, does fine. For denim, I'm assuming you're asking about hemming jeans. I didn't cut off the original hem, so the machine struggled a bit at the seams since at that point it was 6+ denim layers. I just went back and reinforced those areas by hand. I haven't tried leather specifically, but I imagine it would work as long as you have the right needle.
Question:	what is the throat space
Answer:	I believe so. I never have to adjust the tension.

Answer:	It does have a hard cover although there is an opening on top for the carry handle (which is attached to the machine). I put a small hand towel over mine just to make sure it stays clean and dust free. I really do love this sewing machine and hope to keep it for a long time!

Answer:	It is not dual voltage, 110V only. I contacted Brother who said I can use a stepdown transformer, BUT they do not recommend it. Still, since I bought this on Amazon and I live in the Philippines, freight back was not something I wanted to lay on anyone. Therefore, I bought a 500 Watt step down transformer to ensure I made the 2 amp requirement for operation. I carefully plugged everything in and all work perfectly. The 500 watt transformer handles things beautifully. My lady loves the Brother and says it does everything she could want. She just made fitted sheets for our bed and they came out perfect. She highly recommends this machine.
Question:	Can you drop the feed dogs on this model, or only cover them up
Answer:	The feed dogs do not drop but there is a darning plate that covers them. I have done a bit of free motion quilting with it and it works well.
Question:	Does it come with a walking foot for quilting
Answer:	The XR3774 comes with a walking foot.
Question:	Is it heavy duty enough to hem or repair denim jeans
Answer:	Absolutely, I have done 3 pair of heavy jeans, worked perfectly. Great machine!

Answer:	It is the same part number it shows in the manual- that is how I got here.
Question:	Can this machine really sew through many layers of denim
Answer:	If you don't want it to gather, then why use it at all? Just thread the elastic through the secured hems, or zig-zag it with a wide stitch. Either way will let the body stretch it when needed, but won't gather.
Question:	I know it is considered heavy duty, but will this machine also be good for light weight and delicate sewing

Answer:	Not sure. But I believe they are selling the sewing machine, under the reviews of some type of beads. Because that way it appears to have good reviews. Until you read the reviews and realize they are not for this product. This product is poorly made and doesnt work for even the simplest of projects. I do not recommend this sewing machine.

Answer:	You need to make a knot after sewing, otherwise it will fall. You will find out how to make the knot on the manual.

You can get both of it as I do, it will definitely meet your requirement.

Answer:	No, I was confused when I recieved the machine, and I contacted with the owner. It comes with a canvas every machines, thats for them to test the machine if it is working. They are all brand-new, you dont need to worry about this.
Question:	Can you import other fonts? Increase the embroidery area
Answer:	Yes, even for a novice like me, after reading the manual precisely, and try to sew couples of times, I can easily handle it by myself now. However, you need to be patient if you are a freshman, do it slowly, and dont rush it hard.
