Answer:	Since I don't have a persian cat I can't recommend what would be the best trimmer ....The Wahl 9284 works well for my 2 small havanese. ...knowing how to groom is key and I am not at all an expert but with some practice and patients I managed to do ok.....if your persian is very matted you will need to use the groomer without any attachments and slowly trim down it is a process. ...I think you would be pleased with the wahl 9284.....good luck!!!

Answer:	Hello Julia, There are all different sizes that come with the unit to accommodate anything from shaving the finest of hair down to the skin with no comb or longer haired animals that you would only want to take off the ends of the hair. I had to really search through feedback of others on many units before I settled on this one and just honestly hoped for the best. I am n=one to never leave feedback but was honestly so impressed with this unit I had too. I think if you are to buy it you will feel the same. Now I don't know what type of animal you plan on using it on but if its a cat with really fine hair this will work perfectly. Also did work well for the little spot I tried just to see if it would work on my German Shepard mix. I think any shaver that will actually cut and shave super fine hair like our Maine coon cat has it will work on any animal. I hope this was helpful
