Answer:	I've had mine almost a year. So far they are as good as when I bought them. I keep them in a ziplock bag. I would keep them in something air tight.

Answer:	I use the acrylic powder & liquid and it makes it a lot smoother. If you just put the nail & polish on, the surface of the nail won’t be even. If you don’t want to go through the process of using acrylic powder and liquid try using sns dip powder instead of gel polish.
