Answer:	I don't think they make backing plates, if your putting these on a kayak you don't need a backing plate just don't over tighten the screws the kayaks are made from pretty thick plastic

Answer:	Yes, I've worn them for sleeping for a few years now due to noisy neighbors. They are comfortable with multi-hour use; sometimes a new pair can seem a bit large when first worn (hurting my ear a bit, but I have small ears). If this happens, I just pull them out a bit and all is well. And they do stay in all night if you insert them according to the directions on the package (pull ear up and back, roll the plug tightly and insert). I don't know what I'd do without these, they are a lifesaver as far as my sleep!

Question:	What is the maximum head circumference
Answer:	It includes the hub but not the thrust bearing, which is the metal disc that goes on prop shaft before the propeller. For this prop, all I did was remove the propeller with its hub. I reused the original thrust bearing as it was fine and was also difficult to get off. If you are swapping props, your drive should already have a thrust bearing, unless it was removed. Let me know if you have any questions.
