Question:	When cooking food, do you ever put water in the bowl (when the recipe says "water level2", does it refer to the water in the steam reservoir or bowl
Answer:	You fill the bowl with water to level 2 for example (because the bowl is marked with measuring levels 1,2,3) then you pour the water into the reservoir before you start cooking/steaming. When the food is cooked, you will see that the water or the steam went through the food (that's in the basket) back into the bowl. Does it make sense? Then you can use that water (that now has all the nutrients) to blend the food or formula. In the small booklet that came with it, at the end, there's a table showing different food with level of water recommended (for example, if you are cooking meat/chicken , water level is 3, most fruits water level is 2)

Question:	How do you clean food out from inside the handle
Answer:	We are happy to tell you that our blending bowl is designed so that you can separate the parts for a thorough cleaning! The outer-design of our bowl is made up of 3 parts: the bowl itself (which is one solid glass piece, so the food inside does not come in contact with anything in the handle), the base (ring at the bottom), and the handle. Because of small gaps, it is possible for water (or even food) to become trapped inside. For a step-by-step instructions on how the bowl parts can be disassembled see below: Take the blade out of the bowl for safety (remove blade cautiously, as it is sharp) Put the bowl upside down Disassemble the plastic bowl base (simply unclip it) Put the bowl right side up again Using a thin knife blade or flat head screwdriver unclip the bowl handle from the inner top portion of the bowl. Concerned About Your Babycook Reservoir?

If you notice staining on the bottom of your Babycook's stainless steel water reservoir that resembles discolored dots, don't worry. This is not mold or rust. It's a normal and harmless buildup of calcium carbonate minerals called limescale - give it a google! Limescale is a direct result of heating up water and is inevitable with all stainless steel depending on the mineral concentration in your water. Other than discoloring and affecting the aesthetics, is not cause for any concern. Calcium carbonate doesn’t dissolve easily in water which is why soap and water will not remove the deposits - you need a mixture containing vinegar. Clean the reservoir as follows

• Pour 1 cup vinegar into reservoir and let it sit overnight with lid off
• Empty the vinegar by titling appliance
• Repeat as necessary until clean
• Once clean, run 2 steam cycles with plain water on water level 3 to rinse out the vinegar
• Always use blending lid to prevent food from getting inside of reservoir + descale Babycook regularly

Answer:	Without the insert you can try steaming grains with water in the glass bowl as well as the reservoir, and without the use of the steam basket, as the steam basket has holes that would not allow any water to remain with the grains if used. The grain insert holds the grains and the water necessary to thoroughly cook. Another advantage to using the insert (as with the steam basket) is it holds what you are cooking in the center of the glass bowl so that the steam can circulate around all of the food for a thorough cook.

Question:	Can I use Baby cook if my country has 220 volts outlate
Answer:	We do not recommend using this Babycook from the US with any voltage other than 120 V. If you use this machine with an electrical adaptor or converter, it will not only void the one year warranty, but could damage the machine internally as well.

Question:	I know that if you use a transformer to use the machine with 220v you loose the warranty, but, is it safe? have you used it with a transformer
Answer:	Beaba USA does not recommend plugging your 120V Babycook into a 220V outlet. It is possible that the higher outlet could burn out the Babycook. Some customers have been successful when using a convertor, but we do not recommend it.
