Answer:	It holds pee but not a lot of it. Most swimming schools require two swim diapers-a disposable one & one of these that covers the disposable one. It's to ensure that if the child poops, it most likely won't get into the pool & cause contamination.

Answer:	It would depend on your kiddo's height and body shape. My 4yo is under 40 pounds (and 40" tall) and there's no way he'd fit in a size 6 diaper of any brand. We use Goodnites' brand nighttime underwear in size L/XL (intended for 60 - 125+ lbs). S/M (intended for 38 - 65 lbs) is just a bit too snug for him.
