Answer:	We have only had the cover for a short time and our seats are leather. We have had no problems with the backing rubbing off to date.

Answer:	It fits my 2020 Forester well. Only issue is the straps meant to loop around the bottom edges of the seat don't really have anything to loop around. The cover still stays in place well.

Answer:	Somewhat. The leg of the child falls to that area as the child gets bigger and so, I don't use it too often. But, when the child was smaller, I used it to keep small things. Overall, yhe product covers the car seat.

Answer:	I don't have an alternative for you, however wanted to say that I have black leather seats in a black car and I live in a city where it reaches 110 degrees easy in the summer. I have had this seat cover for over a year and have removed it several times and never had any issues with it melting to the seats. Its worked wonders and I have one in every car for every car seat.
