Answer:	Just looked at the obdII protocol detector & breakout box. Looks like the two are basically the same thing. I would say the otc piece is probably a little better quality piece, of course it costs a little more money. But the two will function pretty much the same way.

Answer:	You will meet subscriptions from Bosh every year and it cost around 1200 bucks. I would recommend calling Bosh and ask them all these questions before buying. And make sure that you buy a brand new in order to get the werarranty honored if you ever need to use a warranty on your scanner. I bought a scanner from this seller and they announced it as brand new and it turned out to be used and Bosh did not honored the warranty after 9 months.
