Should work on your polished aluminum boat pontoons as well. The spray on chrome wheel cleaner may be too harsh and leave streaks and spots on the aluminum finish. |

| Answer: | We use this on our kenworth t-800 dump truck for polishing everything on the truck. it works awsome on everything that we polish. we were hand polishing for a long time and saw this and decided to try it. we put it on the drill and we were amazed how much work it did for us! everything comes out so shiny. on the other hand, there are some cons to this. first, you need to put alot of polish on the powerball because it absorbs it so fast. we probably use a half a bottle, at least, when we polish the truck. second, because its a foam material, it doesnt take well to anything that doesnt have a smooth surface. for instance, we use these on our rims because it is so much faster than elbow grease, and looks awsome; however, by the time we finish the rims, the buffer no longer looks like a buffer. the foam is gone. overall, its one of the more reasonably priced buffers out there, and while it doesnt last forever, it does work well. we use it for the fron rim, smoke stacks, gas tank, steps, rims...pretty much anywhere that can be polished. we have been using these now for three years and have went through probably about 100 of these buffers. I will tell you that we have used probably 20 different types of polishing creams, and I have to honestly say that the flitz polishing cream that comes in a quart or gallon works the best because it is more pasty than the mothers polishing cream, you use less of the flitz than the mothers. I hope this opinionated advise helps you. |

These sponges helped me with the final buffing of my first guitar build. Over all very easy and durable. I even ran the tip through with a neck screw and it didn't shred or anything. It just kept going. They easily twist into tight curves.
