Answer:	Hi there, This compressor is rated for a max air tank size of 1.0 Gallon. In addition, this compressor is also rated for a max working pressure of 130 PSI. Trying to run a set of 4 air horns with a 1.0 gal. tank at 130 PSI will give you subpar blast time. At best you would get maybe a second or two before the tank is empty. I would take a look at Viair's 275c compressor. It will work with a 2-gallon tank and allow you to run a 150 PSI system. Most horns sound their best at 150 PSI and 2 gallons gives you enough blast time to have fun with.

Answer:	You cannot control the speed of the compressor. It is 24 volt Dc powered. We bought a 90psi normally closed switch and teed in line so the compressor shuts off at 90 psi. I'm sure you could find a 60psi switch, or buy a higher psi switch and put a pressure regulator on the output line. We are using the compressor to power an airride seat in our CAT loader.

Answer:	I have 2 units. One is over 20 yrs old, has been used hundreds if not thousands of times. Many filled my truck tires to 80 psig (I adjust tire pressure to load and to road conditions). The valve at the end of the compressor hose has started to leak at around 80 psig so I bought a new unit rather than just replace that component. I still use the old unit for tires that have pressure limits of 50 psig or less. The compressor itself is still running strong.

Answer:	I'm sure it's a steel tank. Drained water from tank can have a rust color if not drained daily. I've never heard of an air compressor with an aluminum tank.

Answer:	A bigger compressor probably would be better. This one should be able to do the task, just know that it will be always be running to catch up. It will take longer but will work.

Answer:	I've used it for such. It's a wonderful light compressor, but it is limited. I wouldn't recommend for truck tires, but most everything smaller it's fine.

Answer:	when replacing a compressor you do have to change out the pag oil and o-rings as well, the compressor has a small amount of oil for shipping purposes, drain that oil and replace it with the correct amount of pag oil specific to your vehicle. We also recommend changing out the drier and expansion device as well

Question:	Any special care needed for this unit in cold weather
Answer:	Hi there, Viair recommends these compressors are mounted slightly above the air tank so that water cannot get into the check valve. Viair also recommends you to drain your tank more frequently to keep moisture out of the system. Other than that there really isn't any other maintenance Viair recommends.
Question:	Is it weather proof? Can it withstand being exposed to the elements
Answer:	Adrian,Our 450C compressor is moisture/dust resistant. It can withstand the elements but the intake/filter must be remote mounted to a clean & dry area.
Question:	Which is the stronger compressor the Viair 400c or the 450c
Answer:	The 450C is stronger, the Kinze corn planter came with a 400C, replaced the 400C with another 400C, it only lasted 2 years. Since the 450C is the identical or almost identical dimensions we went with the 450C, it fills the 2 gallon air tank about 20-30% faster. I think the only thing we had to do is drill two new mounting holes, two holes were perfect the next two was about half an inch off or so, but else was easy to install. We are happy with the 450C, plus purchasing from Amazon is about 40% cheaper than from the planter manufacturer.
Question:	do you need to have a tank for it or can you use it without
Answer:	You should use a tank with it. I hooked mine up to my 35 foot motor home to replace the old 35 pound 42 amp for the air suspension. I have a 12 gallon tank to pump into but you can get by with 1 1/2 or 2 gallon. I also used a relay that turns it on at 85 psi and off at 105 psi. that's the max my suspension is supposed to have. Got to say it is great takes about 4 minutes to fill the tank and all 4 airbags. rides like a dream now.
