3 best rv exhaust fan
An RV exhaust fan is a ventilation system designed for recreational vehicles (RVs) to improve air circulation, remove odors, and expel moisture or heat from the interior. Here's what you should know about RV exhaust fans:
Purpose: RV exhaust fans are primarily installed in RV bathrooms, kitchens, or other enclosed spaces to enhance air quality by removing stale air, cooking odors, and humidity. They also help regulate the temperature inside the vehicle.
Types: There are two main types of RV exhaust fans:
- Ceiling-Mounted Fans: These are typically installed on the ceiling or roof of the RV and have a vent cover that can be opened or closed to control airflow.
- Wall-Mounted Fans: Wall-mounted fans are installed on an exterior wall of the RV and usually have a manual or remote control for adjusting speed and direction.
Features: RV exhaust fans come with various features, including multiple fan speeds, built-in thermostats, rain sensors (for roof-mounted fans), and reversible airflow options. Some models may also have integrated LED lighting.
Ventilation and Cooling: In addition to removing odors and moisture, RV exhaust fans can help cool the interior by drawing in fresh outdoor air and expelling warm air. This can be especially beneficial during hot weather.
Installation: Installation can vary depending on the type of fan and the RV model.Roof-mounted fans may require cutting a hole in the roof and sealing it to prevent leaks, while wall-mounted fans may need a vent hole in the sidewall. It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper installation.
Power Source: RV exhaust fans typically operate on 12-volt DC power, which is standard in most RVs. Some high-end models may offer more advanced control options and may require a 120-volt AC power source.
Maintenance: Regular maintenance, such as cleaning the fan blades, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting seals, is essential to ensure the fan operates efficiently and prevents water from entering the RV.
Benefits: The use of an RV exhaust fan can make the RV living space more comfortable, reduce condensation and moisture-related issues, and enhance overall indoor air quality.
Availability: RV exhaust fans and their replacement parts are widely available through RV supply stores and online retailers, making it relatively easy to find suitable options for your specific RV model and needs.
Installing an RV exhaust fan can greatly enhance the comfort and livability of an RV by improving air quality and temperature control. When choosing a fan, consider factors such as the size of your RV, the intended location of the fan, and the features you desire to ensure it meets your ventilation needs effectively.

Product description
About Fan-Tastic Vent: Fan-Tastic Vent was chartered as a stock corporation in 1984 and in 1985 began production of a 12-volt high efficiency ceiling fan in Burton, Michigan. In its first year the company employed 4 people and built approximately 2,000 fans. As sales continued to grow, the company moved to a larger facility in Capac, Michigan, in 1995. In an unfortunate turn of events, a devastating fire followed the move in January of 1997, resulting in a total loss. Incredibly, the company rebounded much faster than the industry or the community anticipated. In just eleven days Fan-Tastic Vent was able to resume production. In 2010, Fan-Tastic Vent was acquired by Atwood Mobile Products LLC, a leading supplier to the recreation vehicle industry. Today Fan-Tastic Vent continues to be one of the most recognized brand names in the industry and has sold over 3 million fans.

User questions & answers
Question: | is the motor brushless |
Answer: | I don't know if that would work, but you may want to install one first and see if that is sufficient. We installed one to replace the original fantastic fan in our truck camper and that is sufficient to keep air moving. We normally open windows over bed at far end and keep others closed so that the air is pulled all the way through. I don't know how big your van is but one is enough for our 10' truck camper. |
Question: | Does this fan come with screen and inside trim? I need the complete package |
Answer: | Yes it has on the fan controls. The remote also comes with a mount to place on the wall, so it won't be misplaced. |
Question: | Does it include the putty tape and screws ? If not, do I use butel tape or putty tape |
Answer: | When open all the way 9" Closed about 3 1/2 " |
Question: | Sorry if this sounds naive but How does it work? What wires do you hook it up with? And will it drain too much battery if on overnight |
Answer: | Not sure but I have it off a single 100watt solar panel and the small battery has yet to get below 3/4 full with the fan on high 24/7 in the summer |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work on a 2003 aero camper |
Answer: | It does not come with the screen, only the louvre vents. Nothing states that a screen is included. Max Air sells the screen separately and Amazon has them for approx $14. A screen is not actually needed because there is a screen on your roof fan already. |
Question: | What is the cfm |
Answer: | The Fanmate cover will stop the fan cover from opening all the way but it is designed to work that way. Install the Fanmate and then operate your Maxfan as usual. They work great! |
Question: | How high does it sit above the roof line |
Answer: | Fanmate is for a power fan vent, as opposed to just a vent. |
Question: | Can i wire this to run off a cigarette lighter plug |
Answer: | No, all you should need is Maxxair 503.15 (00-933066) White Vent Cover. |
Question: | I have the Dometic model RM2652 Serial 545 00534 will vent mate 65528 fit properly |
Answer: | I used both but i can't honestly say you don't really need it. i think enough dicor will do the job. that stuff works very well . i may have been a little over worried and didn't want to take any chances so i used both. |
Question: | is the bolt pattern the same on a 65528 and a |
Answer: | It comes with the screen on the inside of the fan. If you want the roof top cover you have to order that. Just make sure you get a Fantastic Fan vent cover and not the regular vent cover. |
Question: | will this fit the RM 2652 model |
Answer: | There really isn't much play in my installation. Also, since ours is in a two behind trailer we wouldn't notice any notice. It's a great unit. You could add a few washers to take up any slack if need be. |
Question: | will this fit my dometic rm 2551 refrig. roof vent |
Answer: | Yes..... but it's dimmed, like wearing sunglasses |
