Answer:	The Camco vent cover that I purchased was for a replacement for one of the vent covers originally installed on my trailer in 2008. I would consider a 10 year life span especially in the hot southern sun more than acceptable.

Answer:	No it won't. Because the fantastic fan is electric it will open all the way or until it comes upon an obstruction, which is what will happen with this cover. It is not tall enough to let the cover open all the way. There are special covers for Fantastic Fans called Fantastic Vents. Amazon offers one in white with a number UB 1500WH but if you want one in smoke or black you may have to go somewhere else. I bought my black one at Camping World. The sell online too.

The aerodynamic cover offers high flow ventilation with a design that allows you to keep it open when it’s raining, or even when you’re traveling. It is easily installed with included mounting hardware by mounting to the existing 14 inch x 14 inch roof vent. How it Works

The Camco Roof Vent Cover installs over your RV Roof Vent, allowing you to open your roof vent during rain or shine and without impeding air flow. The removable louvers allow you easy access to your roof vent for maintenance and cleaning. For installation you will need a pencil, a drill with a 3/16 inch bit, a Phillips head screw driver and a crescent wrench. The rest of the materials are included with the product. To install the Vent Cover, first center it over your roof vent with the louvers facing the rear of the RV and mark the location of the slots with your pencil. Lay the mounting bracket on the roof so that the slot intersects one of the marked locations that are closest to the corners of the vent frame. Mark the locations of the screw hole in the vent bracket onto the vent frame and drill through the frame using the 3/16 inch diameter drill bit. Place one of the carriage bolts up through the bracket slot and fasten the bracket to the roof vent and frame using a #8 screw, washer, lock washer and nut which are provided for you. The washers and nuts will go on the inside of the vent frame. Install the other three brackets in the same way. Once all four of your brackets are installed, place the vent cover over the four carriage bolts and attached with the ¼ inch washers, lock washers and nuts. Before you tighten it, make sure the square heads of the carriage bolts are seated in the bracket slots to prevent them from turning. Do not over tighten. There will be a gap between the vent and your RVs roof- this is normal and will help prevent condensation. Your RV Roof Vent Cover is now installed and ready for use!

I think you would have to ask the seller if they make an older Vent and try attaching a picture this is what I did when I first purchased the Vent.Also make sure you give them the year and make of your Trailer or RV my friend. Answer:	nothing to drill out for this cover-hinge end just slides in and bend tab at end to hold in place-arm to raise cover slips in track thru oversize hole at 1 end.

Answer:	Here are my suggestions, 1. What size cover do you need? Measure the vent cover and determine if it is a "nominal 14 by 14" cover". It won't be exact. It could be something like 15" but that is why it is a nominal 14 x 14. 2. You MUST look at what type of hinge your current vent has. I suggest that you look at the figure referenced here at Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Camco-40155-40158-White-Polypropylene/dp/B0006JLW84/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1438356136&sr=8-4&keywords=camco+roof+vent+cover. This figure shows the various configurations. 3. Unfortunately if you don't know the hinge direction, you may have to take it off. 4. To take off the cover, you may have to first remove the interior frame. It will be four screws. Remove your screen and then the handle crank. Finally, you'll have to go back on top and "slide off" the vent cover. BUT, you'll need to have a pair of needle nose pliers. You'll see a small tab that is bent to hold the cover from sliding. Then just straighten the tab and the cover will slide off and you'll be able to see the type of hinge.Remember, these are covers and not really "skylights". So, if your current setup allows light to penetrate, these remove about 70% of the light. My opinion.These covers will fit over a 12-volt fan or at least they did on mine. They are sleek and lower profile. They appear very durable.Frankly, once you have replaced one vent cover, you'll see how easy it really is. If my answer is confusing, just go to Youtube and look up a video on how to replace a cover. It really is easy.Finally, my opinion, but be real careful if you decide to use a power drill to remove and install any of the screws. RV parts (plastic) can be pretty fragile. It takes longer but hand screw drivers/torx are the way to go. But if you use a power drill, use slow speeds or you run the risk of cracking your plastic interior piece.Good luck.

Answer:	It will. I had a coupling on top of my vent and this wouldn't fit it. I had to get a piece of 2" pipe and stick it into the coupling and then put this on top of the pipe.

Answer:	I just got the 14 x 14 cushion for the vent, but tried it for the skylight in the shower and used the shower's blackout shade to close the gap. In less than 2 minutes the top of the cushion was HOT and I could feel significant heat coming through the blackout shade. The cushion made an instant difference. Tomorrow I'm going to hunt down foam like Shiela did to close off the skylight. It's 103 outside right now at 5:30 pm and will be 107 in a few days.
