Answer:	Yes, a higher tonnage jack stand will be more stable and in many cases provide a higher lift range. At the same time you need to know the minimum lift height the vehicles you're working on will need but this is more a matter of the jack not the stand. Any decent jack will lift high enough for a 3 ton stand unless it's an odd spot on a lifted (SUV or truck) vehicle. I would say go for the 3 ton for a regular sized car or small crossover. Remember that 3 ton capacity is a rating for the PAIR of stands, not per stand.

Answer:	The base is 6&1/2" wide, is 4&1/2" deep at the ends, but narrower at the middle. Realize that made-in-China items can quickly change depending on their latest vendor, i.e., low-bidder. I'm happy with mine, although the picture for mine showed it had a flat top, and mine has two small bumps that protrude--although only a very little bit. These might provide stability in some situations, don't pose a problem in most, but I'd have peferred that the top be flat.

Answer:	Outside diameter of the saddle pad is 4 1/4" .... There is a shoulder ( approximately 1/4" or more) to consider and inside diameter of it is 3 5/8" ... If I were putting a rubber pad on mine, I would stick with a 3 1/2" diameter... Another option, to maintain full pad diameter, would be to go with a 4 1/2" rubber pad and machine a surface just for that shoulder and the 4 dog ears that stand even a little taller. Good luck...

Answer:	No, because they are 1 ton each. They say 2 ton as advertisement for selling because yes total is 2 tons. But it doesn’t matter, if they were two tons each that would be 4,000 pounds, but you don’t add them together. If you have a car on all 4 jack stands the stands can still only hold 4,000 pounds even though each one is rated for 4,000. You don’t add up the jack stands and say ok I have 4 jack stands that are rated for 4,000 pounds each so they can hold 16,000 pounds.. NO do not do that, you will kill yourself. They are still only rated for the rating that one of the says

Answer:	It depends on the wheels you.'ve got with your vehicle. It may be different even for the same model year and/or changed by the dealer or previous owner. The best way is to look closely on the tires you have on right now. It is pressed in the tire sidewall along with brand and other information. If you see something like 225/60/16 or 225/60R16 this is the correct tire. But I doubt it very much, most of 2010 Traverses equipped with 245/70R17, 255/65R18, 255/55R20, which are bigger tires and Traverse is a big vehicle.

Answer:	The same as recommended by your car manufacturer in the owner's manual. It is usually posted on the shield in the trunk of on the inside of a gas tank door or on a sticker inside the driver's door, usually between 28 and 35 psi . Any pressure outside of this range is unsafe for driving and harmful for the tire. left and right tire on the front should always have the same pressure, the same for the rear tires. However, front and rear tires may have different pressure as recommended by the specs/owner manual.
