Answer: | May not b on correctly?? Or If washers don’t help could also possibly b a defective product. Shouldn’t leak |

Answer: | yes. I use my nails to dislodge the rubber seal. It is really easy to do. I would also recommend getting extra washers. When they wear out you can't use the device, so having extras on hand help |
Question: | How many hours can be used |
Answer: | First you must know the liters of the tank you are using. An oxygen e-cylinder for example could be 600 liters to 675 liters depending on who filled it, how they filled it and the altitude. How long that lasts literally depend upon the pressure in the cylinder (high when full and low when nearing empty), the cylinder temperature, the altitude, and the flow rate you set this regulator on. For the most part it is inconvenient to ever know the pressure or the tank temperature. The tank cools as oxygen leaves the tank so the tank temperature is not related to the room environment temperature. So, for the most part, you can only get rough approximations of how long the tank will last. For an example if you set the flow rate to 6 liters per minute and the tank is new at not high altitude the pressure may be around 500 psi you might calculate 600 Liters divided by 6 liters per minute and arrive at 100 minutes. That answer would be way off due to the other factors and in reality you might find the tank will only last will only last about 30 minutes. The biggest factor is the tank cannot run to empty and have the regulator still work. There may have to be around 200 psi still in the tank for it to work. Then the equation should have been 500-200/6 = 50 minutes. But all those other factors will make that too long. My point is any close answer is in reality difficult to calculate. Respiratory technicians throw in a constant from experience to attempt to safely compensate for the other factors so they may multiply that constant, which will be a fraction. Or they use charts. You might look a chart sample at https://www.cookchildrens.org/SiteCollectionDocuments/HomeHealth/Education/RespiratoryTherapy/OxygenTherapy/CCHH_Oxygen_ECylinderTimeChart.pdf to see the range of answers. Now the most important thing you MUST understand about this regulator is it is a HIGH flow regulator. It will go up to 25 liters per minute. At that rate the tank will ice up and it may only last 5 minutes. I found this to be a very good regulator but it is for patients who are on HIGH flow rates. You should look for another one if the use is more normal which may be only 3 to 5 liters per minute. I hope I did not give too much information but anyone on oxygen needs to know a lot to best control the use of oxygen. Too little oxygen and one can suffocate. Too much oxygen and one can burn lung cells or freeze lung cells. |

Answer: | I’m going to assume it’s the same as a regular size oxygen tank. If you’re wearing a nasal cannula then 1.0 would be 1 lpm, 6 would be 6 lpm. If you were wearing a venti mask the liter flow would be determined by what percentage you want(which usually is differentiated by different color pieces that attach to the mask/tubing ) |
