| Answer: | The mu1614 has one electrical connector, mu1613 has two. I had to get between the fender and frame with a light to see if mine had one or two connectors. Or you can drop the tank first. I cut a hole in the bed so I didn't have to drop the tank. Saved a lot of time and didn't have to craw around under the truck. |

| Answer: | I do not know with out looking at the code on top of the factory original pump. I had to remove my pump to find the code. What I found is there are at least 2 different codes. TCF(uses 2 electrical connections) and TCU(uses 1 electrical connection). Look up am-autoparts. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | If you go to GM Parts and put on your vin, this comes up as the direct gm replacement for the stock fuel pump on a 2003 Tahoe flex fuel. Does not fit prior years. It will technically work but your fuel guage will be off due to the float arm design. The original pump for a 2003 tahoe flex is GM part# 19153713.... which is this pump. Fex fuel pumps work differently in that they pump more fuel to accommodate for the oversized fuel rails and injectors, as opposed to straight gas vehicles. When the flex sensor picks up the ethanol concentrations as high enough, the fuel system charges with higher pressure to accommodate the extra fuel consumption as ethanol is consumed at a higher rate. This also equates to less fuel milage that is supposedly offset by the lower price. Flex fuel vehicles operating on ethanol produce higher hp and tq due to this higher consumption. Perfect example is that the ls based lm7 block and l 59 are identical but the l59 is a flex and the lm7 is gas. You can swap a lm7 ito a flex vehicle but will have to swap the rails, injectors and usually it's easier just to swap the entire full intake assembly. Another plus of the flex system is that because it handles more fuel volume you won't have to swap rails on some cam swaps as soon as you would with the straight gas components. |

| Answer: | There should be a way for you to find the part# and know for certain, but I installed it in my 99 Chevy Silverado 1500 2wd 4.8, the only thing I had to do was change the connections, which they send, and it was easy to do. Hope that helps. Oh, with mine I changed out the locking ring and fuel filter at the same time. Don't forget to turn the key to "on" a few times and let it sit a few seconds each time to let the new pump pull gas up through the lines. |

| Answer: | I put the pump in and used the same locking ring, why would you need a new one? the old one works fine. Getting the ring on and turned into place is tough, I needed to wedge it down with sticks from the bed to be able to turn it. I jacked the bed up on the tank side... there is stuff on U-Tube on how to do that.Lots of luck. the pump has only 2 slide post instead of 3 but once in works fine. My failure was due to it overheating, I let the tank get almost empty (maybe a gallon fuel left) so the pump could not cool down, now I NEVER let the tank get below 1/4 always having liquid in there to cool it down. |
