Answer:	Yep, I just bought more at 4/34.95. Who knows. They are so randomly available, they know exactly what they are doing. Good product, but if I would have known these filters were going to be so scarce with rising prices I would have left it Right where I bought it. Sorry you fell for it too.

Answer:	No, this is not meant to be used for breathing in directly into one's face. Most of these filters (vacuums and the like) have chemicals or fiberglass that would do more harm than good. What you need to get is a PM 2.5 filter these are specifically made for masks and meant for you to breathe into it. Please be safe!

Answer:	I think they're synthetic, but that's only my best guess. If you've ever gotten the Swiffer "Sweeper" cloths, it's like that. As for washing and re-using, a QUALIFIED "yes, sort of". The twitchy part of it is that they have to retain enough "fluffiness"/open space so that the air can flow through, yet still not have holes which would let the gunk get through and defeat the purpose. First, wash it in the sink by hand, so that the chip STAYS DRY, and using only **plain** detergent, one that has **zero** softeners or scents or anything else other than plain detergent -- consider the type that's used for washing antique quilts, Synthrapol or something similar - that can also be found on Amazon. Rinse thoroughly but gently - empty the sink while gently agitating, refill the sink, again gently agitate with your fingers ((works well if you hold them like a claw)), and repeat until all the detergent is out. Then AIR-DRY! If you have any empty bottles on hand, put it over the bottle like a sock - that helps it dry. Fluff them periodically while drying. Put back on by first putting the stretchy band on, and plug the chip in only after the bag is securely on the fan. I have to because the bags are usually just too expensive, for my budget at least!, for me to treat them as single-use items.

Answer:	Yes, I believe the chip is a timer but the cleaner continues to operate. When you remove the filter, you will see it is dirty, if not I have left in for an additional period of time. Answer:	I don't recommend it. The filter will crumble and fall apart (i've tried!). What I normally do is get a disinfectant wipe and wipe the filters down. I have cats too and mine is also relatively close to the liter box.

Answer:	The 9"x15" filter is actually 15 1/4" long, so if your purifier perfectly fits a 15" long filter (like mine does), you should look at other options.

Answer:	We have 5 bikes and two four wheelers . We keep spare filters so we clean one and put the spare in then have a new clean and oiled filter ready for the next change we change them after each weekend of track or trail riding. This kit works better than anything I have used. I have had it for awhile now and have cleaned a total of 30 filters and reoiled them . I still have enough to do seberal more. Hope this info helps. A clean filter is a must for a bike to last.

MERV Rating

MERV = 'Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value' this is used to rate the overall effectiveness of an Air Filter. In general an Air Filter with a higher MERV Rating is more effective and has a broader application, but most residential homes will find the best use from an air filter between the 5-12 MERV rating.

About Honeywell

Honeywell's roots reach to 1885, when an inventor named Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, in April, 1886, and soon invented a device he called the "damper flapper” – an ingenious predecessor to the modern thermostat.

Here's how it worked. When a room cooled below a predetermined temperature, a thermostat closed the circuit and energized an armature. Question:	Is this for one filter or two filters? The picture indicates two filters
Answer:	AEM filters are dry flow so you don't spray them with oil like the K&N's. The K&n cleaner is formulated to clean their filters, removing the old oil too. It would probably work fine on AEM,just being a little more harsh but why chance it. It could degrade the element over time. I'd use their stuff so as not to void any warranty. Better yet would be to get all K&N's and be done with it. One brand, one cleaner. Just a thought. Good luck.
Question:	Is this a true Honeywell replacment filter or a copycat knockoff
Answer:	Looks like the title is incorrect. It’s for the intake air filter cleaner (in the engine bay). I bought the 1gallon bottle for the intake filter. 99-6000 kit is for the cabin filter.

Answer:	No, the K&N Air Filter Cleaner and Degreaser: Power Kleen 99-0621 is only for use on engine air filters. The correct cleaner for the K&N HVAC air filter is the 99-6010.

MERV Rating

MERV = 'Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value' this is used to rate the overall effectiveness of an Air Filter. Below you will find a table that measures the MERV strength and tells you the Application of each unit's effectiveness. In general an Air Filter with a higher MERV Rating is more effective and has a broader application, but most residential homes will find the best use from an air filter between the 5-12 MERV rating.

About Honeywell

Honeywell's roots reach to 1885, when an inventor named Albert Butz patented the furnace regulator and alarm. He formed the Butz Thermo-Electric Regulator Co., Minneapolis, in April, 1886, and soon invented a device he called the "damper flapper” – an ingenious predecessor to the modern thermostat.

Here's how it worked. When a room cooled below a predetermined temperature, a thermostat closed the circuit and energized an armature. This pulled the stop from the motor gears, allowing a crank attached to the main motor shaft to turn one-half revolution. A chain connected to the crank opened the furnace's air damper to let in air. This made the fire burn hotter. When the temperature rose to the preset level, the thermostat signaled the motor to turn another half revolution, closing the damper and damping the fire. The temperature correction was automatic. Over the years, many Honeywell products have been based upon similar, but more complicated closed-loop systems.

In general, vehicles such as car or motorcycles require a total particle filtration efficiency up to a minimum size of 10 microns, to avoid any risk of passage of foreign objects that may damage the mechanical components downstream of the intake system (Air Flow Sensors, injectors, valves and segments). OEM air filters are made of paper and their main function is to protect the engine. These filters have high resistance to the air flow, which reduces the inlet pressure and reduces the engine's performance. BMC's air filters provide a considerably greater air flow. Furthermore, compared to a conventional paper filter, which at the time of maintenance must be replaced, the BMC air filter (being reusable) has a life equal to that of the vehicle itself. Another type of air filters on the market are synthetic filters, which BMC has produced for years only for non-road applications. The main difference between the BMC oiled cotton filters and filters made of synthetic material (for example plastic canvas) is the principle of impurities stoppage. The synthetics allow passage of particles in the size of the micro-filter material: it follows that a filter with 80 micron holes allows the passage of all items below that size, stopping only particles larger than the size of the hole (an example: the sand has a size of about 50 microns). The cotton has a larger plot, which favors the passage of a large flow of air and through the combination of different layers containing oil, ensure the stoppage of all the impurities from 7 microns up. To date, this concept is the best solution for both better filtration and higher performances.

Question:	The oil is included? the regeneration can is the same ? or the oil is sold separately
Answer:	It should. I bought it to fit in my merv 16 lennox unit since the merv 10 is a lot cheaper. I went by the size required by the filter unit which was 20 x 25 x 5. this is what you need to know.
