Answer:	I have had mine installed for a few months and have driven about 6,000 miles with it installed. I do believe it deflects bugs a bit and it may deflect small rocks. For sure it will prevent paints knicks/damage to the leading edge of the hood. I bought and installed the guard more for cosmetic reasons. I've received many positive comments in regard to how good the guard looks on my JL, 2 dr. Rubi. I do not regret the purchase and install.

Answer:	I would have never thought to use it on animals?? But if you have an animal that is allergic to insects I guess you could try it?? I am highly allergic to "No-see-ums" insects. I lived in the San Joaquin Valley for 75 years where they do not exist. Moved to Sequoia National Park and had no idea what these insects were. So Avon Skin-So-Soft has been a life saver. Without it I could not go outside in the summer. It costs me a fortune to keep supplied but it works. But for animals I have no idea. Good Luck.

Answer:	I agree it is not easily removed. If you did remove it, I would imagine the tape will no longer do it's job. However, there is enough room between the deflector and the hood to insert a sponge or cloth to thoroughly clean the surface with little or no effort. This also allows you to clean the underside of the deflector.

Answer:	I have had this shield on my Suburban for over two years now. It is of excellent quality, extremely durable; and the low profile looks, and fits, perfectly on the rig. As far as removing it for cleaning, there has never been a reason. On the Suburban, there is plenty of room to get my hand down/in far enough to clean. Equally important to me; plenty of room to get my wax pad down onto hood, and buff out as well.

Answer:	There are 4 fasteners that fit into existing holes in your vehicle. When you tighten the screw it squeezes a rubber post expanding it so it grips the hole. Seems to work great in my Tahoe.
