Typically you use about 4oz per trans, engine, rear end, etc. I change engine oil every 3000 miles and put in 4oz every time so you can do the math considering the size of bottle you buy. As far as the coating-you should find a local distributor and have them run the examples. A drill will not drill into metal once it is on. I have seen them run engines with NO oil once it has been treated. They run it for a considerable amount of time-truly amazing stuff!! I hope this helps.

Answer:	I have noticed no change. Theoretically it should have no effect on oil usage as it is a super lubricant. Most products designed to reduce oil consumption simply make the viscosity of the oil thicker, and many contain products to swell gaskets, reducing leaks. I have noticed an improvement in gas mileage on one car, but have not checked the others.

Answer:	Okay, I put 337K miles on a '02 3.5 C.U. engine, I used Slick 50 Original several times though out the time I owned it. The rattle may be valve tappets not pumping up at first, this could be from sludge build up. You do not have a timing chain, you have a timing belt and if has never been changed IT IS time to do this. The 3.5 engine is a zero clearance engine, meaning if the timing belt breaks the valves and pistons will come into contact, basically destroying the engine. I also always used full synthetic oil after putting 500 miles on the original engine oil. A couple of 1500 mile oil changes will help with sludge if that is the problem. The original Slick 50 needs to be run for 45 to 60 minutes under normal load conditions, this isn't written anywhere but was told to me years ago when it was only sold by private dealers much like Lucas oil products. I have seen the proof by noting engine temperature and engine RPM's before and after treatment. Engine will run cooler and a couple hundred RPM's less if installed as mentioned earlier. So I would not expect Slick 50 to cure your problem of the rattle. If the rattle lessens after the oil changes then it could make the engine last longer.

Torque converter’s within the transmission housing can go bad and when they do they can make that particular type of noise. I would definitely say check your cars Preventive maintenance schedule and check your records as to when the last time you changed your transmission fluid and filter. After all, if it can build up under the pressures and friction exerted on a cylinder wall, then it stands to reason it should build up even better in places with low pressures and virtually no friction. This conclusion seems to be borne out by tests on oil additives containing PTFE conducted by the NASA Lewis Research Center, which said in their report, "In the types of bearing surface contact we have looked at, we have seen no benefit. In some cases we have seen detrimental effect. The solids in the oil tend to accumulate at inlets and act as a dam, which simply blocks the oil from entering. Answer:	I do not know, my rocker arms were not making noise. I recall seeing a ford motor that had been treated with slick fifty run all day for 3 days at a farm sown one time, It did not even have an oil pan. it ran smooth with no noise. I have a tractor that leaks oil and wanted to protect it incase it gets more low than I want before I can repair it.

Answer:	Hi Kevin, NO! you did not get scammed. We reformulated a few years ago with more of the friction fighting ingredients that ER is famous for. More importantly our lab was able to use newer technologies to improve the pour rate which allows the ER to blend and stay in solution with modern light-weight synthetic oils. The fact that you notice the difference tells me you've been a customer for a long time, so thank you! Not to get too technical but on a Timken Bearing test, the new formula performs easily as good if not better than the original "thick" blend. NOTE: Timken test is basically a pry-bar forced against a rotating Stainless Steel shaft until the spinning shaft heats, binds up and stalls. Answer:	The prolong super L is designed to be added to the engine oil and remain effective until the next oil change; then discarded of course with the old oil; having fulfilled its purpose. It would seem prudent to use as directed.

Answer:	Funny you should ask this. I put a small amount in my small compressor sometime ago and have had no problems.( I work with plastics). I have used Prolong oil and transmission products for many , many years and swear that the product is and does EXACTLY as stated. I have given these products to friends and family for gifts. I always tell them when they have the oil or transmission fluids changed. NOT to give the Prolong to the mechanic unless they are trusted. Put the product in YOURSELF!. I always do this myself. I drive a 1996 Ford Explorer 4x4 with now 235k miles. Still has plenty of power for a 6 cyl. I'm sure the compressor would love a SMALL amount .
