Answer:	Rather than installing an arrester on every appliance or faucet my plumber told me about a whole-house water arrester. It would probably need to be installed by a professional unless you're good at cutting and soldering pipes. The arrester would be installed where your water supply enters the house. For now the only time my pipes get hammered is the washer so I used two of these Sioux Chief mini rester to solve my problem. Another problem could be water pressure. If your water pressure is over 60psi that can cause the hammer effect, too. I had a house where the pressure was 90psi and installed a water pressure reduction valve at the curb stop. Solved my hammer problem with that. "

Answer:	I have a Whirlpool front loader HE washer and the two water connections on the washing machine are Male Pipe Thread (MPT) with no shutoff valve. I looked at your machines owners manual and it looks like you have straight MPT connections on the back, so the Sioux Chief 660-H 3/4 inch Female Swivel will work for you. I don't have the dimensions for this device handy but your machine will move forward from the back wall about 6" to accommodate the Mini Rester. I have it installed with the water supply hoses coming in the bottom of the device.

All Sioux Chief arresters are guaranteed to control water hammer for the lifetime of the plumbing system. Mine wore out after a few years. Here is a procedure to see whether yours is worn out (warning: proceed at your own risk!): 1. Obtain an unsharpened standard diameter pencil 2. Insert the unsharpened end into your Sioux Chief 660-H arrestor's inbound water fitting 3. Measure depth to the arrestor's internal piston. A new unit's piston will rest very close to the near end of the cylinder chamber . A worn unit's piston will rest further inside the cylinder. 4. While you have the pencil inserted, attempt to push the piston inward. A new unit requires approximately 15 pounds of force to move its piston inward; a worn unit requires only a pound or two. Answer:	Yes if you have a 12v battery it will ignite. You don't need 110v at all.
