Answer:	If you can afford a carving jack why would you even consider buying this ??? don't get me wrong it's a good little knife for the money but it's bulky and not ergonomic at all your hand will hurt after a wile and the blades don't lock like the carving jack . I recall sharpening a knife (Uncle Henry) for our Sgt and when he cut himself with it the doctor (took 12 stitches inside & out to sew him up) said it looked like he had been cut with a scalpel. Answer:	To all those complaining about the blades not locking, a blade lock was developed to keep a knife from closing when it is used to stab, like a folding skinner going through thick hide at the start of a cut (which is the wrong way to start that cut, too, by the way). If you are using this tool in any way that causes the blades to close on your fingers, you don't know how to use the tool, and you're looking for a hardware fix for a training deficiency. Stop blaming the tool and fix your ignorance. Nobody is born knowing how to use a carving knife, or any other type of knife, any more than they're born knowing how to use a hammer, saw, drill, gun, stove, oven, or jackhammer, and you shouldn't expect to expertly use a tool until you've spent some time learning how to.

Answer:	I love this basket, which I use placed on the top rack of the dishwasher without the suction cups. I'm not sure if the large hole has a specific purpose other than to let more water slosh through. It might also permit slightly bulkier items to be placed inside.

Answer:	Previous answers are not correct. The answer is there is NO difference between power and manual blades. They are exactly the same. The Power model refers only to the handle being motorized while the manual handle is just a standard handle.

Cricut Deep Point Blade

Cricut Deep Point Blade makes it easy to perform intricate cuts on a wider variety of materials for your projects. The Deep point blade has a steeper blade angle (60 degrees vs 45 degrees for the other fine point blades) and harder, more durable steel.

Recommended for Intricate Cuts on Thicker Materials, such as a magnet, chipboard, stamp material, thick cardstock, stiffened felt, foam sheets, cardboard, and some fabrics.

Cricut Fine-Point Blade

Cricut Premium Fine-Point Blade is designed to make the most intricate cuts imaginable in a variety of thin to Medium-Weight Materials.

Recommended for use with paper, cardstock, posterboard, vinyl, iron-on, and other thin to medium weight materials.

Premium Fine-Point blades are gold in color. To be used with the Premium Fine-Point Blade Housing. May also be used with the Bonded Fabric Blade Housing.

This blade and housing can be used with the Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore family of machines.

Cricut Bonded-Point Blade

Cricut Bonded-Point Blade - We all understand that you don't use fabric scissors to cut other materials, right? Reserving fabric cutters for fabric cutting prolongs their fabric-cutting life!

This blade gives you all of the functionality of the Premium Fine-Point blade, but in a distinctive pink color to match the FabricGrip Mat.

Recommended for more intricate cuts on bonded fabrics or fabrics with an iron-on backer.

Bonded-Fabric blades are pink in color. Use with the Bonded-Fabric Blade Housing; may also be used in Premium Fine-Point Housing if needed.

This blade and housing can be used with the Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore family of machines.

Changing Cricut Blades

1. Remove the blade housing from your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker: Open Clamp B and remove the blade housing.

2. For Fine-Point, Premium Fine-Point, Deep Point, and Deep-Cut Blades: Gently push the pin on the top of the housing and carefully pull out the blade from the bottom.

3. Remove the protective cover from the new blade.

4. Insert the new blade into the housing. The magnet in the housing will hold the new blade in place.

5. Replace the blade housing into your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker then return the blade housing to Clamp B and close it.

Cricut Rotary Blade

The Cricut Maker Rotary Blade brings precision fabric cutting to the world of home sewing crafts for the first time. With its gliding, rolling action, this unique blade cuts through virtually any fabric quickly and accurately.

Use with fabrics and other soft, delicate, or less-dense materials, such as tissue paper and cork. Use an image size of 3/4" or larger when using the rotary blade. Smaller images than this may cause the blade to scrape as it tries to make a small turn, which may leave a gouge in your mat.

Must be used with the Rotary Blade Drive Housing. The Rotary Blade should be used with the FabricGrip Mat. The FabricGrip mat is made of a stronger, more dense material that will withstand the intense pressures of the rotary cutting process.

Cricut Knife Blade

The extra-deep Cricut Maker Knife Blade slices through dense materials up to 3/32” thick with unprecedented ease and safety. It’s ideal for cuts of moderate detail in thicker materials.

Recommended to use with Thicker Materials such as balsa wood, mat board, and chipboard.

Must be used with the Knife Blade Drive Housing. Move the star wheels on the roller bar to the side to avoid leaving track marks on your thicker materials.
