Answer:	These bulbs, while very very attractive, produce a published 370 lumens. Each standard (common) 60 watt bulb is around 800 lumens. So it looks like you would be dealing with about half the light. Probably very quaint for a small bathroom. Looks great in my small 1/2 bathroom but may be unacceptable to others. They do class up a fixture if the bulb is plainly visible. I ordered 20 altogether for 2 and 1/2 bathrooms. One bathroom had the cheap 8 globe fixture and when I added these bulbs it looked absolutely great. I did add a dimmer for different effects .....but with 8 bulbs you can get a tan.

I have considered, and I'm still considering, using them outside but I have two concerns. 1. A 60 watt bulb has about 800 lumens. A 40 watt bulb has about 450 lumens. These bulbs are approximately 370 lumens. So if brightness is an issue you might not want to use them. The 2nd concern is that they are so very attractive, someone will want to steal them (a little humor). Try it... you will be happy!

Orange or amber lights work much the same way the 4 way hazard flashers on your vehicle and would indicate "use caution."

Question:	Can it hold up to highway speeds
Answer:	The strobe heads and wires are. The controller box needs to be put somewhere relatively dry. I have mine under the hood tucked down in a front fender. It's been that way for 6 months, plenty of thunderstorms here in Georgia, no problems so far.
