Answer:	Yes they attach to the factory holes.in your roof rack. Mine are on a Honda Element. I bought cross bars that go from foot to foot. That's what these are called. Factory roof rack is only rated for 80 lbs. My kayaks are 60 lbs each. Use a Dremel to cut slots through the factory covers over the holes to keep the leaves and dirt.out. mount feet and push cover up to it and Mark it this will give you the length you need for hole then put cover in front of foot to get center of hole. Use Dremel with cutting bit..
Question:	Has anyone used this rack for kayaks on a camper with skylights? My skylight is 5" high and I am concerned that the kayaks might bounce and break it
Answer:	I bought these a couple of years ago. They're made of heavy thick steel. I carry two 60lb kayaks (120lbs) be sure to use lock tight on the screws

Question:	So this is a weird question, but I'd like to take my bicycle with me on my commute. Can I lock my bicycle to the bike rack using a typical bike lock
Answer:	Some people are suggesting locking the bike to the car with a cable. It should be noted that ANY cable, even the thickest and most secure ones on the market, can be cut in seconds. A cable of any type is, at best, a deterrent to the casual thief. A serious thief loves cables because they are so easily cut. If you have an expensive bike, the only option worth considering is a U-bolt type of lock. Simply remove your bike from the car rack and lock it to a post. Even U-bolts can be defeated but the time and tools required will send all but the most determined thief looking for easier prey, like a bike with a cable.
Question:	I have 2000$ bike, is it worth the risk
Answer:	It was fine for my $1,500 RadRover. It's good up to 70 pounds. What does your bike weigh?

Question:	Hi guys is it good for volvo suv xc90? does it easy for woman to put the bikes up herself
Answer:	This rack (or any strap mounted carrier) should not be used on the Volvo XC models. The issue is that the top of the rear door on the XC's is made of extremely brittle fiberglass that can crack if anything (i.e. metal hooks or bike rack straps) is placed in the seem at the top of the rear door. We would recommend installing a receiver hitch on your vehicle and using a hitch mounted carrier.

Answer:	If the 4” refers to the width of your tires, then no it won’t. I have a mountain bike with 2.65 tires and I either let the air out of the tires or force them in the tire cradle.

Answer:	the lowest point at the back of the rack is 4.75 inches higher than the bottom of the tube that goes into the car hitch
Question:	What's the distance between the two carry arms (the ends of the arms
Answer:	None of our racks are approved for use on a trailer mounted receiver hitch. Any trailer or trailered vehicle (including 5th wheel type) has a slight side to side motion that's very low frequency (1 to 1-1/2 times per second) that fatigues the steel from which the racks are manufactured. The fatigue first happens at a molecular level, but eventually (several thousands of cycles later) a visible crack will appear. Once the crack has formed, it will enlarge, finally to the point where the rack drops off the vehicle and the rack (and bikes) impact the roadway. This is also a dangerous situation for whoever may be following the trailer on the highway. We have seen 100+ incidents where the consumers/end user has not taken this advice and suffered disastrous results. I've even had phone calls from consumers who said they read that advice (do not use on a trailer) and ignored it, only to discover a tragic end result. So . . . don't do it. If you insist on doing it regardless of the above, please use some other companies’ rack.

After contacting the seller I was told in an email that 1D scanners will not read QRCodes because it is a laser scanner. It can only read long barcodes. You would need a 1D/2D scanner to read QRCodes so now I have to send it back.
