| Answer: | No approximation here as of 3/2019. Mine measured with a quality ruler is exactly 1 3/16ths" deep inc. mini plastic tabs on the corners which you can see in the pics. Realistically, any drawer with less than a 1 1/4" tall opening will not let it slide in. Mine was a godsend in that I've looked for a long time for one that would fit such a narrow opening to a specific section of my desk. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | It is physically possible, but I would not suggest it. Due to the tilt of the pocket, it is not well balanced on a flat surface. One roar fro an AC unit turning on could knock it over. This doesn't reduce the quality of the bin. It's just not designed to rest on flat surfaces. |
