Answer:	Yes, a higher tonnage jack stand will be more stable and in many cases provide a higher lift range. At the same time you need to know the minimum lift height the vehicles you're working on will need but this is more a matter of the jack not the stand. Any decent jack will lift high enough for a 3 ton stand unless it's an odd spot on a lifted (SUV or truck) vehicle. I would say go for the 3 ton for a regular sized car or small crossover. Remember that 3 ton capacity is a rating for the PAIR of stands, not per stand.

Answer:	I haven't tried the white paint on metal. I suggest you paint a little on a piece of metal and see how it turns out. Sometimes it is best to give the metal a primer coat of paint before putting on the white paint. That way it won't show the metal.
Question:	is this recommended for repairing enamel on stoves? What is the heat tolerance
Answer:	No, This is paint that is used for plastic models/ kits. Go to an auto supply store and see if they can recommend something that can tolerate heat.
