Answer:	This is thin chalk for a chalkboard. I am sure you could use it outside but they will break much easier because it is not sidewalk chalk. Yes, it will wash off.

Answer:	It is very thin- not great for little kids. I myself could not draw without breaking it. The bright, or bold sidewalk chalk is best in opinion for how well it shows up and easy to draw.
