| Answer: | It's two inches wide..I might wish for the grip to have rubber pads but that would add to the cost - they seem to work fine without that feature. I could also wish the wire "prop" between the handles for the tension were not so almost flimsy - my toenail clippers have a stronger support in there. But that could add bucks to cost too and it is holding up although I've only stretched 3 or 4 smallish canvases since buying this tool. I'm not sorry; the price was right and "so far so good". |
