Answer:	All Nugent ice will melt if not used. It is also what keeps the ice fresh. It has an internal drain that it drains to, it doesn’t drain and overflow if that was your concern. The type of cooler it has is similar to a cooler you would use around the pool, plastic and some insulation; e.g it is not like a fridge where the compressor keeps the ice storage frozen. It wouldn’t be economical to do so, you would have a compressor constantly running to keep the ice frozen, then the ice would melt and freeze as it cycles and get jammed. Hope that helps.

IF your's has the wiring to the thermostat connected to the gas valve "TT" terminals, then this is the right 'stat'. IF it connects to anything 110 volt or the stat is connected directly to a gas pipe, then this is NOT the right stat. A little investigation is needed.
