Answer:	It folds up like an accordion. There's no way to leave it attached. Very light, user friendly, we love it. Only draw back is if someone parks too close to your vehicle you may not be able to spread stairs out completely. Our dog goes right up into our truck with these.

Answer:	Why?? This is meant to be used as a step for your pet, and can hold much more weight than that as a step, but it is then supposed to be removed when in transit.

Question:	Does it fit a crv
Answer:	I've had this item for two or so years. The wiring is easy to install and remove as many times as you need. After the step has been installed with the included shims, it can get hard to put in and take off, like alternating between the step and a trailer ball hitch. You can make it much easier if you do not use the shims. Of course it will be looser and might rattle. I would like to mention that the step is made out of a plastic top and a painted metal tube. At first they match. The sun fades both rather quickly (6 months or so for me) and they fade at different rates. So.... Don't expect it to look top notch for long. Mine is still quite functional, just not the prettiest. Hope that helps for what it is worth.

I like the fact is DOES flash when using either left or right turn signals, drivers behind me will be more aware, I hope. Question:	Mine when installed with a pin hangs out loose and wobbles around. What am i missing?? Not useful for anything like this
Answer:	Mine was same way. I had to have a friend insert it & hold it in position while I marked it through hitch pin hole with marker pen. I then put it on my drill press and drilled a new hole. It fit snug then and works fine. But I did not expect to have to do this when I had ordered it. I have OEM 2017 Nissan Frontier Hitch receiver.
Question:	i have a 2013 dodge ram and i weigh 300 pounds with this hitch be what i'm looking for do not want one that's sticking out all the time
Answer:	Doug. You need to cut off the large piece of metal on the back side off the step, that the hitch pin goes through, as much as you ca, than you need to drill a 3/8 hole in the center of the remaining part of the step. a 3/8 x 2" allen bolt will go through it from the front to the back. you will need to use a larger drill to counter sink, so the head of the allen bolt head will be flush when you push up the step. You will need a large washer, that the hitch pin will go through and a long sleeve 3/8 nut. Cut a slot in one end of the sleeve nut so you can weld the washer into the slot sideways, so the washer will accept the hitch pin. So what will happen is you put the allen bolt threw the front of the step, screw the sleeve nut on, with the washer on the other side and Put this into the reciever, align your hitch pin through the washer and take up the slack by tightening the allen bolt. you may have to shorten the allen bolt if it is too long. I've done this for myself and a few friends, one of them was for a dodge ram. It works great and it will be tight. keep the allen key in your truck for when you might need your reciever hitch. Hope i explained it, it is an easy fix.

Answer:	The idea is good but when you put it in your vehicles 2" receiver it is very sloppy fit. I bought a 6" x 6" 1/4 plate metal and had the 2" receiver welded to the 1/4 plate and then cut the bracket off of the step and drilled and bolted it to the receiver bracket that was made

Answer:	It has two plates on the rear. That's why it won't fit a 1"receiver. Most of the hiches are 2".
