Answer:	I was experiencing the same issue, even called Frigidaire and set up an appointment to see if I received the incorrect grates. After reading your question I took another look at my stove top and realized the grates were put on incorrectly when installed. Take your left grate and put on the right side and your right grate and put it on the left. That should level the grates and solve the problem.

It helps to have the wire rack when cooking potatoes since this keeps the potatoes off the bottom and will allow the air to flow underneath them and they are less likely to get burned on the bottom.
